Styrian catering technology specialist optimizes procurement processes

and further strengthens its international competitiveness.

MAY GmbH, based in Seiersberg and also known under the trademark MAYWAY, is the largest all-round provider of catering technology products in Austria. The family-owned company can look back on over 55 years of industry experience and is also recognized internationally as a reliable partner. The business specializes in the planning and equipping of commercial kitchens, as well as in bar technology, refrigeration technology, air conditioning technology, and the associated installation and service solutions.

Managing Director Swen Armin May became aware of the ICS and the Restart Export funding project by taking part in an EXPORT ACADEMY focused on supply chain management. The first consultation with the ICS team took place at the beginning of 2022, following which May GmbH was accepted into the Restart Export project. In the course of this project, we supported the company in digitalizing its supply chain structure and in restructuring its internal procurement.

The management of May GmbH and its employees are highly satisfied with the results already visible since the project’s conclusion, and are already noticing improvements in their daily work. We are pleased to have been able to support the optimization of the supply chain structure, with all of May GmbH’s procurement processes now meeting international standards. In addition, the company’s competitiveness in foreign markets has been strengthened and its supply chain resilience has been improved.

By supporting this Styrian business, we were once again able to make a significant contribution to securing Styria as a business location and safeguarding local jobs.

The REACT EU project RESTART EXPORT is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. For more information on IWB/ERDF, visit www.efre.gv.at.
