Easelink brings Graz charging technology to China

From the innovation hub of Graz to the world’s largest e-mobility market: Styrian technology company Easelink has gained Luxshare as its first Asian technology licensing partner. Together, the companies are bringing the fully automated charging technology Matrix Charging to the Chinese market.

With Matrix Charging, Easelink has developed a technology that can charge electric vehicles fully automatically. Instead of manually plugging in a charging cable, the vehicle connects automatically via a connector on its underside to a charging unit in the ground.

What was developed in Graz is now set to be industrialized on a large scale in one of the world’s most important automotive markets. To this end, Easelink has secured Luxshare as its first Asian technology licensing partner.

The international industrial partner operates more than 100 production sites in 30 countries and has extensive experience in industrializing new technologies and manufacturing at scale. The move into China is part of a consistent internationalization strategy. Easelink had previously already secured renowned companies such as Audi, Nissan, Voyah, and SEG Automotive for Matrix Charging.

Together with Audi, Nissan, and Voyah, the Graz-based company also founded the Matrix Charging Interest Group in 2025. SEG Automotive and Luxshare have since joined the industry collaboration. Together, the companies are driving the standardization of the technology—an essential prerequisite for interoperability and broad market acceptance.

Styrian know-how with global potential

Easelink’s development shows how technology from Styria can open up international markets. The decisive factor is not solely exporting a product. Technology, know-how, and intellectual property can be scaled internationally through licensing models and integrated into local value chains with strong partners.

For Easelink, the collaboration with Luxshare is therefore more than just another corporate deal: it is an important step toward establishing Matrix Charging internationally and further expanding the Graz-based company’s presence in China.
