Six Styrian SMEs benefit from DESIRE direct funding

The time has finally come: the winning projects of the DESIRE Open Call are officially announced!

Over the past few months, an independent team of experts evaluated 67 eligible project ideas submitted by SMEs from more than 14 EU member states, selecting the best 35 submissions. The winners can now look forward to around €1.05 million in direct funding and service vouchers to support their innovative projects addressing existing challenges in the field of digital health.

To our great delight, Styrian companies, together with those from France, came out on top among the funding recipients. With a total of six local SMEs benefiting from DESIRE funding, Styria ranks among the top 2 most strongly represented EU regions in this groundbreaking project:

  • MIC Audio Solutions Prototype
  • Revolutionizing Healthcare Queues with Quickticket – A Smart and Seamless Hospital Queue Management System
  • AzimovLab
  • Professional Dashboard for Digital Temperature Measurement
  • HerzensApp Disposition
  • Internationalization of ilvi GmbH

A total of €180,000 in funding will be distributed among the aforementioned Styrian project winners. Each of the funded companies will receive €30,000 to drive innovation in existing products, launch or accelerate internationalization efforts in third markets, and revolutionize business processes in the e-health sector. Over the coming 6-9 months, ICS staff, together with colleagues from partner organizations in France, Poland, and Romania, will play a key role as project mentors. The stated goal is to actively support the individual SMEs in successfully initiating and realizing all 35 project ideas.

This financial support is part of a successful ICS initiative to secure EU funding for Styrian companies. It underscores the commitment to strengthening local businesses in their internationalization efforts and thereby boosting the regional economy.
