Graz music start-up conquers German offices & trade fairs

From consulting at ICS to early successes in Germany – how Antless is conquering international markets with tailor-made soundscapes and live performances.

Music has been proven to boost well-being, something that has so far mainly been used in leisure time. The Graz-based start-up Antless, founded in 2022, shows how this can also be applied in the workplace.

Antless develops individual spatial sound concepts and advises companies on the optimal use of sound. The custom-built software offers curated soundscapes, similar to different music channels, specifically tailored to various work situations – from the home office to team workshops – all completely ad-free. The goal is clear: to minimize distractions while boosting creativity and concentration.
In addition to its software licenses, Antless also offers live performances in offices and at trade fairs, such as at the Forum Alpbach.

For the dynamic team led by founder and Managing Director Christoph Schnalzer and Business Development Manager Kathrin Schwarzl, it quickly became clear that they wanted to offer their innovative solutions beyond Austria. During an in-depth consultation at ICS in 2023, Lisa-Maria Katholnig and Alexandra Kohrgruber presented the ICS range of services and worked with Schnalzer and Schwarzl to develop a strategy for entering the German market. After further consultations with the Foreign Trade Centers in Munich and Berlin, the team applied for the Go International funding program to optimally prepare for market entry.

“We are very happy that, thanks to the support of ICS, the Foreign Trade Centers, and the Go International funding program, we achieved a strong entry into the German market and have since been able to build several profitable and forward-looking partnerships.”

We are delighted that the effort is paying off, as Antless has already achieved its first successes in Germany: On 18. & July 19, the Antless team delighted audiences at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress in Berlin, a leading event for software developers and tech experts with around 15,000 developers, 8,000 tech companies, and 500 speakers. Antless impressed with its solutions and is now in talks with potential clients, including internationally renowned office furniture manufacturers.

We hope for many more performances and projects in Germany and wish the motivated team great success!
