On the same wavelength worldwide
The Grambach-based company Scotty ensures flawless communication from Berlin to Sydney.
Deployed worldwide
“Since we operate primarily in the government sector and there is no market for that in Austria, we have a very high export share. Our systems enable communication from Europe through Africa to New Zealand. Even on the smallest island in Asia, coverage is guaranteed,” explains Kurt Kerschat, CEO of Scotty Group Austria GmbH. “Our largest customer is the German Armed Forces, for whom we sometimes bear full responsibility for designing the entire IT server landscape. That means up to 20 people can communicate simultaneously,” says Kerschat, adding: “We handle the entire communication chain in the areas of video, data, and audio, usually using a satellite network.”
Support from ICS
The globally active company has also been operating in the Arab region for several years now. “When entering the Arab market, we were supported by the ,ExportKnowHow‘ project of the Internationalization Center Styria (ICS). With the ICS’s help, we were able to find a local partner in Dubai and finance a large part of our marketing expenses thanks to the 75 percent market entry grant,” explains the CEO, adding: “The ICS supports companies step by step – from defining a new target region and suggesting and selecting potential partners to funding marketing expenses – it’s extremely helpful.”
