The Fohnsdorf-based company ATM-Recyclingsystems possesses over 80 years of experience in metal recycling. While it has operated under this name since 2002, it was founded as early as 1926 as Arnold Technologie für Metallrecycling. The company develops, plans, manufactures, and services metal recycling systems for the processing of secondary raw materials and is even the world market leader in the field of briquetting presses.

A look at the Far East

Through the collaboration with the ICS and the ExportKnowHow project, the company was able to analyze the Chinese market and approach potential partners. “We received advice and support from ICS experts because we wanted to take a closer look at the Chinese market,” continues Technical Director Andreas Anbauer, reporting that ATM’s customers come from the automotive, recycling, and process industries. “The Chinese market differs significantly from others, and thanks to the ICS, we were also able to benefit in terms of sales structure and action coaching,” adds the Head of Technology.

The company, which has 60 employees, has already exported 1,300 machines to over 90 countries and intends to continue benefiting from the services and expertise of the ICS in the future. “External tips are an enormous help and allow us to think outside the box,” Anbauer concludes.
