Graz Company Bids Farewell to Cumbersome Paperwork

The Graz-based company primtec GmbH helps manage key questions regarding the design of efficient corporate logistics and develops tailored solution offerings.

How well is inventory recorded? What are the delivery times for reorders, and which goods are immediately available to customers? Where exactly is a product located? How many storage locations are well-occupied, how many poorly occupied, and which storage location is free? How does the component reach the correct assembly point as quickly as possible?

By tracking goods, for example, with RFID transponders, precisely this information is made available permanently and in real-time. A positive effect, among others, is significantly optimized order picking times, forklift guidance systems reduce search and empty runs, and delivery times are minimized. In production, this enables precise planning and reduces downtime.

The company primtec optimizes internal company processes based on proven and state-of-the-art data capture technologies, such as RFID, barcode, IoT, machine learning, computer vision, and much more. The company offers a wide range of complete solutions – such as the Asset Sheriff product – for inventory, track & trace, as well as automation and logistics.

Based on individual inquiries, the company advises on and designs a customized solution, which it then implements for the client. From planning, through the development or adaptation of suitable software, delivery of hardware components, and installation, to commissioning, customers receive everything from a single source!

Successful Project Partner Matching

The Graz-based company primtec received neo-exporter consultation through the ICS. Information about an EU project within the Horizon 2020 funding program was forwarded by the EEN to the Graz company Block42, which in turn brought primtec on board as a suitable project partner. Together, they won the bid for the EU Blockpool project for Smart Cities.

“Through the consultation with Mag. Ahlgrimm-Siess from the Internationalization Center Styria, we quickly recognized the potential added value that we will gain in the future by utilizing ICS services. Following the neo-exporter consultation, we will certainly delve deeper into the wealth of ICS offerings and select the services that are most suitable for us.”

Neo-Exporter Consultation Initiative

Within the framework of the EXPEDIRE neo-exporter consultation by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), Mr. Knapp was introduced to a variety of ICS services that had not been accessible to him until then. Particularly interesting for him were the services related to UN tendering, the Enterprise Europe Network, the services of Aussenwirtschaft Austria, and the training programs of the EU project EXPEDIRE.

To access the ICS networks and information platforms, primtec was immediately integrated into the EXPEDIRE entrepreneur pool and included in the ICS newsletter distribution.

primtec has already utilized the following ICS services:

  • 2020 Initial consultation at ICS: Inclusion in the EXPEDIRE entrepreneur pool
  • 2020 Project partner matching for the EU Blockpool project by EEN
