Getting off to a flying start abroad
“We applied in 2017 on the website www.ExportKnowHow.at because we wanted to get our company off to a flying start in the Italian market,” says Elisabeth Hutter, Managing Director of Hutter Acustix. As part of the project designed by ICS, two lucrative contracts were secured through the commissioned sales partner. This meant that the refurbishment of Acquarena Brixen could already be completed in 2018, and the tender for the acoustic refurbishment of the Astra cinema “Centre for Young Culture”, also in Brixen, was won.
Gaining a foothold in Italy
Through a public tender, South Tyrolean architect Alexander Dorfmann was selected by Hutter Acustix as the best bidder. “ICS contacted me to say that there is a company in Styria that would like to gain a foothold in the acoustics sector in northern Italy, and I was immediately interested in working together, as we can provide an ideal interface as an architectural firm,” he explains. As things stand, further joint projects with Dorfmann will follow. In advance, Elisabeth Hutter and her team prepared an export business plan for the target market Italy, in addition to an online export fit check. “Taking part in ExportKnowHow opened up so many opportunities for us: getting started was quick and straightforward, as was the entire process.
