During our visit to the Styrian company Aqua Engineering GmbH in Stainz at the end of February, it became immediately clear: this internationally experienced engineering company in the field of water and environmental technology is a true pioneer in emerging markets. Managing Director Rudolf Edlinger welcomed us personally and provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s range of services—from drinking water treatment and industrial process water solutions to municipal wastewater plants, as well as engineering, operations, and maintenance services for turnkey plants worldwide.
The discussion focused on the company’s core competencies: water treatment and the desalination of seawater and brackish water, with which Aqua Engineering has been implementing projects in emerging markets for decades. This portfolio is complemented by technical consulting, training, and the operation and optimisation of existing plants—a holistic approach that makes the company a strong partner for sustainable infrastructure projects.
With its many years of international experience and numerous reference projects in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, Aqua Engineering currently sees great potential to open up new opportunities in growth markets such as Bosnia & Herzegovina as part of the DiGEM project.
