Strong interest and lively discussions characterised the networking event organised by the WKO Styria Regional Committee for Foreign Trade with Franz-Stefan Gady and numerous Styrian honorary consuls on 6 October at the WKO Styria.
The focus was on Franz-Stefan Gady’s lecture “When War Comes to Us”. The renowned military analyst and security expert impressively demonstrated how strongly geopolitical tensions, crises and conflicts influence economic decisions, and which security-policy challenges will occupy Europe in the coming years.
In the subsequent discussion, Franz-Stefan Gady, ICS Managing Director Karl Hartleb and Manfred Kainz highlighted the impact of global crises on the business location of Styria and on companies’ international competitiveness.
The many questions and contributions from the audience underlined the strong interest in this highly topical issue.
The event organised by the WKO Styria Regional Committee for Foreign Trade offered valuable food for thought and new perspectives. Especially in times of increasing geopolitical uncertainty, it is clear how important dialogue between business, politics and security experts is.
