“Brazil, the tenth-largest economy in the world and known as the ‘land of the future,’ is one of the most attractive overseas markets for Austrian companies. The Mercosur trade agreement opens new doors and will provide important momentum for bilateral trade in the coming years. Now is the right time for Austrian exporters to seize the opportunities of this dynamic market and tap into new business prospects in Brazil.”

Christoph Robertson, Head of the WKÖ Foreign Trade Office in Rio de Janeiro

“Austria has always benefited from free trade agreements in the past. The EU-Mercosur agreement also opens up new opportunities for our companies, particularly in the Brazilian market. However, it will take some time before the positive effects are fully felt. This makes it all the more important to engage with the new opportunities early on.”
