In mid-October, the ICS had the pleasure of welcoming a dedicated group of founders as well as representatives from the Unicorn Start-up & Innovation Hub and the University of Graz’s Center for Entrepreneurship.
Our Managing Director Karl Hartleb opened the meeting with an introduction to the ICS and provided fascinating insights into the current state of the Styrian foreign trade economy, ranging from diverse international opportunities to the challenges companies currently face in global markets.
Following this, WKO Styria President Josef Herk spoke about the central role of the Economic Chamber for the local economy and particularly emphasized the importance of young, innovative companies for the future of Styria.
The subsequent networking session provided space for intensive discussions. Ideas were exchanged, numerous questions were answered in personal conversations, and international perspectives were opened up. The spirit of innovation and the drive for growth that characterizes the Styrian start-up scene were particularly evident. The meeting was characterized by a spirit of innovation, internationality, and the urge for growth, especially in the areas of export and internationalization.
