The most recent Start-up Salon took place in the creative setting of Unicorn Graz, where innovative start-ups and dynamic scale-ups came together to gain valuable insights into planning and implementing their international expansion. Our renowned experts—Renate Schnutt and Günther Schabhüttl from AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA, Alexandra Kohrgruber and Marion Kikinger from ICS, as well as Bernhard Weber from Unicorn Graz—shared their extensive knowledge and experience to open up new perspectives for participants. Four key takeaways shaped the interactive, networking-focused exchange:
- Diversity as a driver of innovation: Diversity in teams is not only ethically important, but also a decisive factor for creativity and business success. Integrating a wide range of perspectives leads to more innovative and effective solutions.
- Intercultural communication: A deep understanding of cultural differences is essential. Successful international business relationships are based on respect and a sensitive approach to these differences, in order to avoid misunderstandings and build trust.
- Targeted funding: There are specially tailored funding programmes, such as the Internationalisation Voucher, which provide crucial support for initial international steps and international expansion.
- Networking as the key to success: Networking is an important factor, especially for start-ups, and forms the basis for sustainable growth and success. At the Start-up Salon, participants were also able to make valuable contacts and exchange experiences.
For Styrian start-ups, our “Start-up Salon” event series offers a unique opportunity to expand your network, learn from leading experts, and set the course for international success. Do not miss the chance to join the next Salon. We look forward to welcoming you and working together on your successful future.
