Latvian ITS Delegation Visits Styria

How can digital technologies, automation, and intelligent mobility enable new international collaborations? A delegation from the Latvian ITS ecosystem visited Styria to explore these potentials and deepen contacts with regional technology and industry partners.

The visit kicked off with a networking event at the ICS Internationalization Center Styria, bringing together Latvian and Styrian companies as well as network organizations. The focus was on digital public services, intelligent transport solutions, automation, and new approaches for a connected industry.

ITS Latvia presented Latvian expertise in the field of digital services and digitally supported industrial applications. LMT Innovations used a practical example to show how intelligent traffic management solutions are already being used in Graz. Further insights into the Styrian innovation ecosystem were provided by the Silicon Alps Cluster and the Association of Automation Technologies Styria.

As the delegation trip continued, it led to Roto Frank, where the focus was on automated production processes, energy efficiency, sustainability, and industrial innovation. Another emphasis was placed on intelligent and automated mobility. At ALP.Lab, participants gained insights into LiDAR, radar, and camera-based traffic monitoring, automated vehicle and fleet solutions, and testing for highly automated driving. The visit concluded at TU Graz with the highly automated electric bus platform TORUS.

For Styrian companies, the international exchange opened up new opportunities to network technological competencies, meet potential cooperation partners, and further develop joint projects.
