In mid-April, ICS experts Marion Kikinger and Alexandra Kohrgruber visited the Gleisdorf-based company OFNER der Backprofi GmbH.
Managing Director Christian Ofner is a renowned master baker who founded the company in Gleisdorf, Styria, together with his wife and Managing Director Michaela Ofner. His passion for the baking craft developed during his training in both small and large bakeries. Since 2010, he has shared his expertise and his 100% fail-safe recipes with a steadily growing community of baking enthusiasts. Through his books, baking schools, and appearances on cooking shows, he has turned home-baking bread and pastries into a trend and has received numerous awards for his work.
In 2021, the entrepreneurial couple built a state-of-the-art new baking headquarters in Gleisdorf to meet growing demand and further drive expansion.
Today, the baking mixes are already successfully sold far beyond national borders, and his baking courses are booked up years in advance. However, Christian Ofner and his wife Michaela have even greater goals: they want to be successful in the USA as well!
