Then apply for the Born Global Champion Award 2026! The award specifically spotlights young, internationally oriented companies that have thought globally from the outset and can already demonstrate initial international successes today.
The award deliberately targets a different audience than the Styrian Export Award: the focus is on startups and scale-ups that are opening up international markets with scalable technologies, innovative business models, and high growth potential. For the 12th time, companies will be honored for demonstrating how innovative power “Made in Austria” makes an impact worldwide.
Who can apply?
Eligible companies are those
- founded on or after January 1, 2020,
- pursuing a clear international market focus from the start,
- offering innovative products or services,
- and have already achieved initial export or internationalization successes.

Submitting an application not only offers the chance for a prestigious award but also for:
- strong national and international media presence
- visibility on an international stage
- participation in the pre-pitching at Connect Day as well as the festive award ceremony
Important to know
The Born Global Champion Award complements the Styrian Export Award but is not an industry or size award; rather, it is a startup award with an international focus from day one.
