Your Project on the International Stage

Complex international investment and technology projects require more than just good market access. A resilient project concept, suitable partners, a realistic financing model, and a clear understanding of the market, country, and local framework conditions are crucial.

With Fit 4 Global Projects, the ICS supports Austrian technology-oriented companies – especially SMEs – in systematically developing such projects and preparing them for implementation. The program combines practical qualification, individual mentoring, and expert coaching with international networking and trade missions to selected partner countries.

From Project Idea to Viable International Venture

The focus is on your specific project. Together, we look not only at the target market but at the entire venture: What problem does your technology solve? Who are the relevant partners and decision-makers? How can the project be structured economically and organizationally? Which financing or funding options are available?

Depending on the project phase, Fit 4 Global Projects specifically supports:

  • the assessment of international market and project opportunities,
  • the development and refinement of a viable project concept,
  • market and country analyses for selected developing and emerging countries,
  • the identification of relevant partners, institutions, and local stakeholders,
  • financing and funding issues related to international projects,
  • intercultural and project-related questions,
  • preparation for discussions with potential partners and decision-makers,
  • the concrete further development of the project through individual coaching sessions.

Qualification, Mentoring, and Network Interlink

Fit 4 Global Projects is deliberately not designed as a pure qualification program, but combines practical knowledge with individual project development. This allows companies to immediately apply insights from the qualification to their own projects with the support of experienced coaches.

In addition, the program provides access to experts and stakeholders in Austrian development cooperation. International trade missions offer the opportunity to better assess markets on-site, get to know potential partners, and verify project assumptions through direct exchange.

Which Companies is Fit 4 Global Projects Intended For?

Frequently Asked Questions about Fit 4 Global Projects

Fit 4 Global Projects supports technology-oriented Austrian companies, especially SMEs, in developing international investment and technology projects. The program combines qualification, individual mentoring, project development, networking, and trade missions.

For a viable international technology project, market demand, local partners, project structure, financing, risks, and country-specific framework conditions should be considered together. Fit 4 Global Projects assists companies in systematically applying these building blocks to their own ventures.

Financing and funding issues are a component of Fit 4 Global Projects. Companies are supported in including possible financing and funding paths in project development at an early stage; however, the program does not replace general funding consultancy for every export project.

Fit 4 Global Projects combines individual project development with international networks and trade missions. This allows companies to identify relevant local partners, institutions, and decision-makers and to test project assumptions through direct exchange.

No. Qualification is only one part of the program. Unlike a single seminar, Fit 4 Global Projects combines practical knowledge with mentoring, expert coaching, concrete project development, networking, and trade missions.

The program is aimed at technology-oriented Austrian companies, especially SMEs, that wish to prepare or further develop a specific international investment or technology project in developing or emerging countries.

General export consulting supports basic questions regarding export, market entry, and internationalization. Fit 4 Global Projects is more strongly focused on specific, more complex investment and technology projects and combines project development with qualification, mentoring, financing topics, and international partnerships.

Fit 4 Global Projects is implemented by the ICS together with FH JOANNEUM and ETA European & Technology Advisors. The Austrian Development Agency co-finances the initiative as part of International Partnerships Austria.
