The ICS welcomed a high-ranking Nigerian delegation led by UNIDO representatives in Graz in mid-April. This meeting was made possible by the AEE INTEC organization, which brought the delegation to Styria as part of this year’s ISEC conference. Representatives from ministries, business associations, and universities used the visit to explore new cooperation opportunities and further deepen bilateral exchange.
Among the guests were also company representatives and students from FH CAMPUS 02 with Nigerian roots, who provided valuable perspectives as bridge-builders between both markets.
Strong Styrian Partners Gathered at One Table at the ICS
On the Styrian side, representatives of CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences, the Styrian Chamber of Commerce, AT STYRIA, the Federation of Austrian Industries Styria, and FIMA Industries participated in the exchange at the ICS.
The discussions focused on economic development, educational cooperation, investment potential, and opportunities for closer collaboration in future industries. With its dynamic population, strong entrepreneurial spirit, and growing economy, Nigeria is one of Africa’s most exciting markets. Particularly in areas such as industry, education, infrastructure, technology, and innovation, interesting prospects are opening up for Styrian companies and institutions.
Direct dialogue, mutual understanding, and robust networks are crucial success factors when entering new markets and establishing long-term cooperations. Styria thus continues to position itself as an open, internationally networked business and innovation hub.
