Animed Service AG, founded in 1979 by veterinarians from Styria, is a Styrian veterinary pharmaceutical and service company with over four decades of expertise in animal health.
The company develops, produces, and distributes pharmacologically active veterinary medicines, with a focus on livestock practice (e.g., pigs, poultry, cattle, horses), and supports veterinarians with practice-relevant products and services. The offering is complemented by an online shop. True to the motto “by practitioners – for practitioners,” the founders and owners are predominantly practicing veterinarians.
In mid-February, we had the opportunity to visit the company in Dobl, Styria, and discuss their international business and future plans with Managing Director Ruth Elke Hellmich, Andreas Ranz, Head of the Control Laboratory, and CFO Florian Kral.
Since Animed products are already successfully distributed throughout the EU, the company now plans to explore opportunities in emerging markets. The already established support through go-international was deepened, as was the new ICS funding program DiGEM.
