On October 13, 2026, the Internationalization Center Styria (ICS) welcomed a delegation from the Indonesian Manpower Services Association (APJATI) to Styria. The focus was on exchanging experiences regarding international skilled professionals and gaining insights into the Styrian business landscape. The visiting program was organized by Abigail Garcia as part of the DiGEM project, which supports Styrian companies in their internationalization endeavors.
The visit first led the delegation to GNESAHA Pflege GmbH in Mureck. The operating family Mörth presented the two nursing homes in Southeast Styria and provided insights into daily care routines. At the Mureck location, approximately 60 residents are cared for by about 40 employees. The international staff structure plays a special role: approximately 80 percent of the employees come from Slovenia. During a tour of the facility, the delegation gained first-hand experience of the company’s experiences with international workers and the challenges encountered in daily care.
Subsequently, the delegation visited KS Engineers in Graz, thus getting to know a company from a completely different field of activity.
The internationally active company develops testing and automation solutions for industry and research. CEO Wolfram Rossegger personally welcomed the delegation and introduced the company and its areas of activity. The topic of international skilled professionals also played an important role, as the workforce of KS Engineers unites employees from various parts of the world, including Asia, Africa, and America. Experiences from international cooperation were shared, and insights into the daily work of an internationally positioned industrial company were provided. To gain an understanding of the company’s practical work in addition to these insights, the delegation received an impression of the technical work areas and operational processes during a subsequent tour of the workshop.
The company visits offered the Indonesian delegation insights into how Styrian businesses handle international skilled professionals and simultaneously created a basis for further exchange between Austria and Indonesia.
