Multi-Million Euro Investment in Serbia: Neuroth Opens First Production Facility Outside Austria

Focus on Southeast Europe: Styrian Economy Expands with Foresight

The Styrian economy is increasingly focusing on Southeast Europe – a prominent example is Neuroth, which is opening its first production facility outside Austria in Belgrade, Serbia.

The new plant will meet the growing demand for custom-made hearing solutions and drive Neuroth’s international expansion. This allows the company to leverage the economic opportunities in the region while strengthening its innovative capacity.

Southeast Europe: A Driver of Growth
The decision to invest in Serbia follows a clear market strategy: Southeast Europe is increasingly becoming a dynamic growth region for Styrian companies – with an emerging industry, skilled professionals, and attractive location conditions.

Neuroth underscores this trend: While the company still generates two-thirds of its revenue in Austria, Southeast Europe is rapidly gaining importance. With 49 hearing centers in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina, the region recently achieved strong revenue growth of 26% – and even 70% in Serbia.

New Production Facility in Belgrade
By the end of 2025, Neuroth will establish a production facility in Belgrade to supply the non-EU markets of Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina from there. In the first phase, up to 10,000 ear molds per year are to be produced here – a significant addition to the existing production site in Lebring, which currently manufactures 200,000 units annually.

A Market with a Future
Neuroth’s decision shows that Southeast Europe offers growth prospects that extend far beyond the hearing acoustics industry. Several Styrian companies have already ventured into this promising region – and the trend continues.
