Harald Suppan, the Managing Director of Genuss & Technik GmbH from Gratkorn, is a passionate wine merchant. His keen sense for exquisite wines and his commitment to quality led him to participate in a wine mission to the renowned La Rioja region in 2018. This business mission, organized by the Enterprise Europe Network, offered European buyers the opportunity to discover the best wines of Spain – free of charge.

For Mr. Suppan, this trip proved to be groundbreaking. Thanks to tastings and intensive, direct exchange with the region’s winemakers, he was able to list a variety of new wines for his wine retail shop.

The positive experience and business success motivated Harald Suppan to travel to Spain again. In 2024, he plans to expand his product range and introduce new premium wines from La Rioja. This continuous expansion not only underscores his entrepreneurial foresight but also the importance of international trade relations.
