The idea for the software was originally developed for the sports sector, to enable bookings of halls and courts as well as registrations for holiday courses. In the meantime, the online booking system—featuring automatic room and participant management, online payment, and detailed booking statistics—is used not only by private sports providers but also by numerous municipalities throughout the DACH region. In addition, Venuzle’s offering has been applied to other segments as well—from appointment management at registry offices to boat rentals—making the software’s range of applications seem virtually limitless.

Export consulting at the ICS

In 2017, Mr. Lang was informed about the qualification programs of the EU project EXPEDIRE during an initial ICS consultation. He quickly decided to register for the free EXPEDIRE entrepreneur pool in order to receive direct information about all training dates offered by the Export Academy. This popular export training format, complete with coaching sessions, provided Venuzle with lasting added value in the area of new export activities.

Export training at the ICS

The managing director and employees of the Styrian company Venuzle have continuously and gladly taken part in the EXPEDIRE Export Academies over the past few years. The knowledge gained there, along with the subsequent coaching sessions, could then be successfully applied during the first steps of entering foreign markets. In particular, the coaching sessions held in both Berlin and Graz provided strong impetus for the decision to expand toward Germany and Switzerland.

In 2018, the time had finally come, and the first customers were won in the DACH region. The export knowledge previously gained through the training sessions could conveniently be applied to both export markets and proved very helpful.

Mr. Lang is confident that he will gladly make use of the ICS’s qualification programs and funding advisory services again for the planned future expansion into the Czech Republic and Italy.

Venuzle has already made use of the following ICS services:
