We look back on the successful two-part International Pitch Training, which we organized in cooperation with the Green Tech Valley Cluster, Creative Industries Styria, and the Silicon Alps Cluster. 14 entrepreneurs had the outstanding opportunity to sharpen their English language skills and pitching abilities for the international market.

Day 1: Theoretical Foundations and Linguistic Nuances

The first day began with an introduction by pitch trainer Denise Vorraber, who explained the essential elements of a successful pitch. The focus was on structure, style, and design, as well as the clear presentation of the Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Vorraber emphasized the importance of targeted communication that addresses both the emotional and rational needs of international customers and investors.

Subsequently, Desiree Fuchsbichler, an American native speaker and language trainer, took over. Through practical examples and interactive exercises, she provided participants with the necessary linguistic nuances for impressive English-language pitches. Participants were able to specifically improve their language skills and received valuable tips for their presentations.

Day 2: Practical Application and Live Pitching

On the second day, the focus was on the practical implementation of what had been learned. All participants presented their pitches live, allowing them to apply their new skills directly and test them before an international audience. In addition to Denise Vorraber and Desiree Fuchsbichler, Kathrin Zenker (investor and business angel), Lorenz Spuller (scale-up expert), Martin Depisch (advisor and investor), as well as Alexandra Kohrgruber and Iris Edler-Stiegler from the ICS, provided valuable feedback and individual tips for optimizing their presentations.

Conclusion: A dynamic workshop with lasting added value

The International Pitch Training was a great success and offered participants deep insights into the art of successful pitching in English. Through the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, the entrepreneurs acquired valuable skills that will benefit them in the future when approaching international investors and customers.

We would like to thank our cooperation partners—Green Tech Valley Cluster, Creative Industries Styria, and Silicon Alps Cluster—for their valuable support, as well as all the experts for their commitment and expertise.
